Howdy folks!
I hope the summer is off to a great start for you thus far!
This post is just a reminder that our SUMMER SMALL GROUP will be starting next TUESDAY, JUNE 1ST, AT THE CRINER’S HOUSE (817 N. 44th St. Waco, TX 76710) at 7pm!
During the Summer 1 term, we will be focusing on some things discussed in Francis Chan’s Forgotten God regarding how we are prone to forsake the Holy Spirit in our individual lives and church practices. My hope is that we will learn to help one another to think more soundly of the Holy Spirit, listen better, and respond more faithfully to Him.
If you are elsewhere this summer and would like to read through the book with us, I will be posting on this blog each Wednesday with a synopsis of what we discussed the night before, as well as what chapters need to be read for the next week. You are encouraged to comment on those posts and share your own thoughts!
If you are in Waco and plan to come on Tuesdays, we will have books for you this Tuesday to buy for a low price.
In addition to hanging out and getting into some stuff at the Criners’, Tuesday night is also home to Taco Tuesdays at Rosas, 50 cent movie night at the dollar theater, and dollar scoop night at Baskin Robbins…so expect us to make some plans at those places on Tuesdays this summer as well!
We should also have the complete Summer 1 schedule out soon, which will include a trip to Six Flags (Saturday, June 5th), a swimming/sand volleyball/grill night, and an ASTROS/Rangers game in Arlington.
Blessings! Hold on to hope and faith!
